My studio created motion graphics for The Athletic’s “Every Second Tells a Story” commercial campaign. We collaborated with Forth + Back on art direction and Ways & Means who provided live action footage for the commercials. Our animation and design was influenced by The Athletic’s user experience; creating a narrative that shows all the ways sports fans can follow their favorite teams.
Process
As we were developing the visual language of this piece, our studio provided the client with animation tests for each type of scene; things like titles, interfaces, and rankings. This allowed the agency and client to feel confident about our creative direction before proceeding to complete the entire project.
What are some ways to create dynamic animations with just a few words and design elements?
