I had the immense honor of creating a Pride t-shirt for the one and only Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. The design was inspired by the women who have been at the forefront of our rights since the beginning.

¡P’afuera y P’alante, compañeras!

The shirt is meant to feel old, harkening to the earlier days of the Gay Rights movement. The electric lavender is also a reference for the color that queer people reclaimed as a symbol of our empowerment.

Queer women have been at the forefront of the movement for gay rights since the very beginning, particularly Trans women and women of color. They have shown immeasurable courage fighting for many of the freedoms that we have today.
